Hope Lane is the Musical Theater teacher, LGDA's Step Team Coach and the 'Heels & Hips' instructor. Hope is an Aspiring Actress with a B.A in Musical Theater Performance, which she obtained from NJCU in 2015. Hope has always had a love and true passion for the stage ever since she was four years old and has been singing since she was 2. Her uncle, Nathan Lane, has been her inspiration all her life and she strives to follow his unforgettable legacy. She has been in a large number of recitals, showcases, and musicals throughout her life; in school and out. Some of her favorite credits include Smokey Joes Café (Ensemble), Into the Woods, (The Witch), and The Wiz (Dorothy). During her high school career, Hope has also had the honor to perform in Carnegie Hall alongside national choirs. Hope is also a songwriter and is a part of a local recording label, where she writes and records her own R&B music. Hope also offers Vocal/Acting Training privately. She is looking forward to doing GREAT things at Latin Groove Dance Academy and anticipates the many successful years to come!
Danielle Jackman is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended Dekalb School of the Arts. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. She was a teacher’s assistant for multiple dance classes at Columbia, and found such joy in helping students grow. Her favorite dance styles are tap, ballet, jazz, and musical theatre.
Danielle is also a member of Actor’s Equity Association, and has performed professionally in musicals such as: SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (Drury Lane Theatre - Oakbrook), SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN (Marriott Theatre - Lincolnshire), HAIRSPRAY (Paramount Theatre - Aurora), RENT (Metropolis Performing Arts Centre), and many more.
Julie Comacho started dancing at the age of 3 under the instruction of Miss Evelyn Brown. Teachers picked up on her talent early, and she began assisting dance classes at age 10. the next year, she began studying at Staten Island Ballet, and joined the professional company when she was 16. Julie simply cannot imagine a life without the influence of dance, and is honored to share her passion with the students of Latin Groove Dance Academy!
Shaina has been a member of this studio since the age of three and has seen the studio evolve from Miss Brown's to Bayonne Professional School, and now to Latin Groove Dance Academy. Shaina has started her training in Belly Dancing at the age of 10 and was mentored through multiple teachers such as Miss Zorina, Miss Syrenna, Miss Amore and many more. With her various authentic, tribal, and modern techniques and extensive backgrounds of Tap, Jazz, and Ballet, Shaina's classes are like none other. She is also a certified personal trainer and licensed in various fitness formats such as Zumba, Strong by Zumba, Zumba Kids and Kids Jr, and Pound Fitness.
Selina Kyle is a self taught hip hop dancer beginning at the age of 8. During her time in high school , she was in the Academy of Fine Arts at Bayonne High School for Dance. She has been in a variety of musical theater productions and dance showcases for the end of the year such as "Hairspray", "Willy Wonka", and "Almost Maine". She was featured in "Almost Maine," for a solo piece. After high school, Selina has been taking classes at Broadway Dance Center in New York. Selina has been a member of LGDA since last January of this year. Selina is one of two of our Hip Hop instructors. She is in charge of Hip Hop I, Hip Hop II, Hip Hop III, Adult Hip Hop & Open Hip Hop.
Jonathan Manuel Pena, who is popularly known as "Shwing" , is a young dancer who started his performance career in the rough and competitive yards of Greek life. He has won numerous step and stroll competitions and later on continued his passion for performing arts by pursuing dance. He started dancing this year and has already toured with renowned choreographer J Romeo 2 times in both Miami and the Tri-state area. He is also a brand ambassador/Athlete for New York based Urban Dance League. He also has performed for Telemundo and has been featured in several music videos. Shwing has performed for numerous events and is ready to give back to the community of NJ as a young choreographer. Shwing is the 'Hip Hop Grooves & Choreo' Dance Instructor at LGDA.

Mariette is a performer from Jersey City, NJ. Mariette can most recently be seen the feature film The Truth About Lies. A reference dancer for Nick Jr's Bubble Guppies and Shimmer & Shine; Mariette brings the animated characters to life. Within the last year Mariette starred and choreographed the independent film Yellow Scare produced by Bayonne’s Narrow Bridge Films. Mariette studied at HB Studios and Kimball Studio. Mariette is an award winning choreographer and dance teacher in the NYC area with almost 20 years of experience. email@example.com
Lauren Greenbaum has experience in many different styles of dance. Her main focus is in tap, ballet, lyrical, and jazz. She has been assisting at the studio since September of 2018, working with children ages 4-8.
Lauren has great pride in the studio, and is excited to share her enthusiasm and love for dance with everyone she meets!
